Your privacy matters. My GPA is built to work without accounts or personally identifying data collection — your academic record is yours alone, living on your device and in your own iCloud account.

1. Data that stays on your device

Everything you enter in the app — cumulative GPA, credit hours, courses and grades, your full academic record, custom grading systems, and settings — is stored locally on your device only. None of it is sent to our servers; we simply don't operate servers that receive it.

2. iCloud backup

If iCloud is enabled on your device, the app writes an automatic backup of your record into the app's folder in your own iCloud Drive. That data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and is not accessible to us. Files you export yourself (.a7sebmo3dalk and .a7sebsystem) go only where you choose to send them.

3. Advertising (free tier)

The free tier shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect advertising identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads, per the Google Privacy Policy. On first launch the app asks for tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework — you can decline and the app keeps working fully, with non-personalized ads. Subscribing to Premium removes all ads.

4. Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand app usage in aggregate, anonymized form (for example, how many users tapped the calculate button) so we can improve the app. This never includes your GPAs, courses, or any content you enter.

5. Purchases & subscriptions

All purchases and subscriptions are processed directly by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store any payment details — ever.

6. Your consent

By using the app you consent to this policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described here, with your prior consent, or where required by law — such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process.

7. Children's privacy

The app is made for university students and is not directed at children under 13; we do not knowingly collect any data from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; changes will be posted on this page with the "Last updated" date revised above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept it.
